Taking Correct Measurements
Please allow yourself to be measured up by another person. Stand relaxed, with arms loose and hanging at your side. The measure should lie tight to your body. Taking correct measurements is very simple when there is someone else on hand to help.
- Body Size R, P or T:
Without shoes, from head to foot. - Bust:
At the widest part of the breast, measure horizontally around the body. - Under-bust:
Place the measure immediately below the breast-line, measure horizontally around the body. - Waist:
Without pulling tightly, measure around the waist. - Hips:
At the widest point, measure horizontally around the body, approximately 7 3/4 inches below the waist. Decide the widest point by looking at yourself along the sides of your hips. - Inside leg measurement:
To measure the inside leg, measure the inside seam from top to botton.
Size tables for:
Clothing
Bodies, bras and corselettes
Please note:
With double-sized items, the measurement is always based upon the larger size, e.g. 16/18. If your sizing falls between two sizes, please order the smaller size if you prefer not to have a completely unflattering cut!
